Jessie & Scarlett

Scarlett and her best friend singer songwriter Jessie Baylin at the 'Match Point' premiere in 2005, I never had seen this pic and they look so cute together.

They've been good friends ever since high school and last year Scarlett even directed Jessie's music video 'Hurry Hurry' and Jessie only had nice words for her:

"She heard the track and really wanted to help me and direct. She has wanted to direct for a long time. I think she's done a shortfilm as well. But we've known each other since we were girls so it just felt really natural to be in front of her camera. She's super talented and my hair was not supposed to be wet and there wasn't supposed to be any rain. That was just circumstances and we didn't know if we were going to get the shot and we got that one shot where the sun started setting and it was kind of a miracle because it was torrential downpour. I thought I was going to die at one point. It was like December and 40 degrees and the temperature just kept on dropping and I hope I never know cold like that again! But it was truly such a joy to be in front of her camera, so I think she's going to do great things from behind the lens. She was everything you want from your director. She was encouraging, and allowed me to just be myself so she made it really easy and she was great with the crew and everyone. It was really just a pleasure to do it with her."

Such nice words from such a dear friend to Scarlett. I liked that they collaborated together and the result of the video is really personal, a really one beautiful shot of Jessie on Brooklyn's bridge and it's really magical, you can watch the vid and see more pics of the premiere below.

"Ella escuchó la canción y quiso ayudarme y dirigirlo. Ha querido dirigir desde hace mucho tiempo. Creo que también ha hecho un cortometraje. Pero nos conocemos desde que éramos niñas así que me pareció muy natural estar enfrente de su cámara. Tiene un montón de talento y se suponía que mi pelo no debía mojarse ni que hubiera ninguna lluvia. Eso simplemente fueron las circunstancias y no sabíamos si íbamos a conseguir la toma y conseguimos esa toma en la que el sol estaba saliendo y fue como un milagro porque estaba cayendo un diluvio. En un momento dado pensaba que me iba a morir. Estábamos en diciembre y a 4 grados y la temperatura seguía bajando y espero no pasar frío nunca como esa vez! Pero fue verdaderamente una delícia estar enfrente de su cámara, así que creo que va a hacer grandes cosas cosas detrás de ella. Fue todo lo que quieres de un director. Daba muchos ánimos y me permitió ser yo misma así que me lo puso muy fácil y fue genial con el equipo y con todo el mundo. Fue realmente un placer hacerlo con ella."
